After spending less than 48 hours in Bangkok and pretty much eating a week's worth of meals over that short time period, I came to the realisation that Bangkok is a city teeming with incredible photo ops. Be it in a modern café with a cool minimalist design or a lush garden restaurant with streams of fairy lights overhead, there are so many beautiful places to take a quick coffee break -- and you might as well sneak in that perfect flatlay while you're there, too ;)
Here are just a few of my favourite picks:
1) Restaurant Sühring
My absolute favourite in terms of design, food, and even the friendly people. A restaurant doesn't get as stunning as Sühring right before sunset, when the "Wintergarten" (pictured) is lit up and it feels like you're dining in an elegant greenhouse. The surrounding garden, grown by the twins who co-own the restaurant together, is also perfectly tended and is dotted with wooden benches that were great for photographs. Unsurprisingly, the food served here is just as beautiful as the setting.

2) SNP Headquarter
Wear black for that ninja effect! This is the super cool all-black staff entrance of SNP Headquarter's bakery, which made for an excellent backdrop.
The restaurant is brightly lit with plenty of marble, wood and steel elements, so we found many great flatlay opportunities like this one. The dining area is connected to the bakery, so you get wonderful whiffs of freshly baked bread as you eat!

3) U Sathorn Bangkok Pool
The pool at The Sukhothai (where we were staying) was renovating, so they re-located us to the U Sathorn resort around the corner just to use their pool. I was surprised by how empty it was every day that we went, and how pristine all of the facilities were. Not to mention, there's a garden right by the pool so it really looks and feels like you're in paradise. You probably have to stay here to use their pool though in future, so just an idea!

4) Charm Eatery & Bar
Charm Eatery is located in what appears to be a quiet and uninteresting neighbourhood - but upon taking a closer look, we realised that the street is actually full of hidden cafes and restaurants. Charm Eatery does fantastic Thai food, and we especially loved the crab omelette, morning glory and smoked duck red curry. The unique set of light bulbs hanging above the bar are a popular feature on visitors' photos here, and we took advantage as well and played with angles. After lunch, head around the corner to Rocket Coffeebar S.12 for excellent cold brews.

5) Vanilla Garden
This is another hidden gem that seems completely out of place in the chaos of Bangkok's inner city, but it's there! The beautiful garden connects the bakery, which is famous across Bangkok for their pastries and moon cakes this time of year, and the Japanese cafe. The cafe was a great brunch spot, with both indoor and outdoor seating. Just beware of the painfully slow service, and don't arrive hangry like we did.
